Biography
"Ricardo Martínez (SM’14) is a graduate and PhD in Telecommunications Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 2002 and 2007, respectively. In September 2002, he joined CTTC’s Optical Networking Area (ONA) being granted by both a pre-docotoral grant from the Government of Catalonia and from CTTC’s Pre-doctoral Fellowship program. He has been actively involved in several National and EU- founded (FP6 and FP7) R&D as well as technology transfer projects. Since 2013, he is Senior Researcher of the Communication Network Division (CND) at CTTC. His research interest areas include control and service management architectures, protocols and traffic engineering mechanisms for future packet and optical transport networks within aggregation/metro and core infrastructures."
