Biography
"She is currently lecturer at the Autonomous Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She did her PhD in CREAF-UAB (Center for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications) (with approval at European level) studying the functional strategies of different species of Mediterranean plants in relation to their post-fire regeneration strategy. she has done research in different universities in the United States, France and Canada. Her research focuses on studying the effects of disturbance on species and plant communities, either as species or community. More specifically, she now focus on studying the effects and relationships between fire and drought in the characteristics of Mediterranean plant communities (eg, shrublands and oak woodlands), such as functional traits or community dynamics. She is also very interested in everything related to conservation biology, and she has done some work determining the conservation status of some species of endangered flora in Catalonia."
