Biography
"Sergi Grau holds a PhD in Classical Philology from the University of Barcelona, ​​with a thesis entitled The Image of Philosopher and Philosophical Activity in Ancient Greece. Analysis of the biographical topics present in the Lives and doctrines of the most illustrious philosophers of Diògenes Laerci, directed by Dr. Jaume Pòrtulas, who obtained the qualification of Excellent summa cum laude and the mention of ""European Doctor"", and has been recognized with the Award cum laude to a high level research project in the field of written humanities in Catalan within the Network of universities Lluís Vives, the Greek Philology Doctoral Thesis Award, granted by the Spanish Society of Classical Studies to the best doctoral thesis in Greek Philology defended in Spain during 2008, and the Prize extraordinary doctorate, His lines of research focus on the rhetorical topics of the ancient Greek biography, especially the biography of philosophers, in the construction of the image of the authors through the biographical genre and in their relationships with other genres, especially the ancient drama and the dwarf hagiographies. He has also devoted himself to studies of prehistoric and Byzantine philosophy, as well as to the translation of several ancient authors."
