Biography
He have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Barcelona , and a Master's Degree in Earth Ecology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona , and currently a predoctoral researcher at the CREAF.As part of his doctoral thesis, his research revolves around the spatio-temporal variability of hymenoptera communities and their interactions. On the one hand, the study of the alteration in the structure of the landscape due to human activity, the local context and seasonality affect the communities of Himenópteros (bees and wasps) that use cavities pre-established to nest, and to Networks of interactions that these establish with their parasitoids ("trap-nesting bees and asps").Another part of his thesis explores the effect of seasonal variation ,considering how seasonal changes in the ambient temperature can determine the moment of flight start of the different species throughout the year, depending on the Body size of each species and its thermoregulatory capacity. In this sense, they propose that the phenology of regional species fauna with which they work could be marked to a large extent by the Norma de Bergmann applied at a seasonal level.Previously, he developed an investigation in the Department of Agrobiology of the Research and Development Center at the CID-CSIC , which focused on the study of the reproductive cycle of the Blatella germanica breweries in the framework of the project for the development of bi-regional insecticides .He also worked as a collaborator with Dr. Jordi Bosch at the Department of Arthropods of the University of Barcelona, and at the CREAF, within the framework of its research line with alternative pollinators for honey bee (solitary bees of the genus Osmia ), for pollination of fruit trees (pear and apple).Additionally, he has developed in the area of waste management and as an environmental technician and he has given courses to some companies in this area.
