Biography
"I was born in Yerevan, Armenia. I moved to the United States in 2001, where I completed my B.A. in Economics and Mathematics at the University of California - San Diego and my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California - Berkeley. I moved to Barcelona, Spain in September 2014 where I began my position as a Researcher at Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREi). I am also an Adjunct Professor in the Economics Department at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. My research interests broadly lie in the fields of macroeconomic theory and financial economics. More specifically, my research has focused on understanding how various forms of market imperfections can impede the functioning of real and financial asset markets, and what implications this can have for macroeconomic activity and policy. "
