Biography
"Zoraze Ali was born in Pakistan in 1986. He received his MSc degree in Radio Communication from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Karlskrona Sweden. His Master thesis, entitled as “3GPP LTE versus IEEE 802.11p/WAVE: Competition or Coexistence? ’’ was focused on two emerging technologies LTE and IEEE 802.11p/WAVE in the field of communications. The analysis was mainly based on the simulation by using Network Simulator 3 (ns-3) using C++ as a programming language. The subjected thesis was presented at Lunds Tekniska Högskola, LUND Sweden on 14th June 2013. Apart from his academic career, he has worked as an Engineer in Network and Operations department in Telecard Pakistan. Telecard is the country’s first ever payphone service provider and a pioneer for providing value added services for mobile communication. In Telecard, he worked on LUCENT and ZTE technology based equipments offering CDMA cellular network communications, particularly CDMA2000 1X based WLL Network. He joined CTTC in September 2014 as a research assistant to pursue his PHD degree on Self Organizing Networks (SON), Big Data and Machine Learning with particular focus on LTE/LTE-A and 5G networks at Telematics Engineering Department of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona."
