Biography
Ms. Andrade graduated in Biology in 1975, holds a degree in Medicine (1983) and received a diploma in Family and Community Medicine from Madrid Complutense University in 1983. She obtained a Master’s degree in Pathologie du Sein from the University of Strasbourg, France (1991), a postgraduate diploma in Mammary Pathology from the University of Barcelona (1992), and a Master’s degree in that same field one year later; in 1996, she qualified as a specialist in Medicine of the Breast and Mammary Pathology from the Complutense University of Madrid. Additionally, Montserrat Andrade is certified to supervise X-ray facilities for medical diagnostics by the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas y Medioambientales y Tecnológicas attached to the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Energy (1991). She completed her internship at Hospital Universitario San Carlos in Madrid (1985–1988), obtained a PhD. from San Carlos University in Madrid, and her degree dissertation at the Complutense University of Madrid was granted honours. She was Head of Institutional Relations at Zeltia, S.A. from 2007 to 2012, and is currently a member of the Board of PharmaMar.
