Biography
Nadia is VP, Medical Affairs at PharmaMar since she joined the company in 2011. She has an extensive career in the pharmaceutical industry, in particular in the oncology arena. From 2008 to 2011 she held the position of European Medical Affairs Director Oncology for AstraZeneca in Belgium; previously, she was the European Team Area Leader for Oncology/Hematology at Janssen Cilag Europe, Middle East, and Africa from 2005 to 2008. Before this, from 2001 to 2005 she was appointed International Medical Director-Oncology at Aventis Pharma International in France, a position she held for four years after working as Head of Global Medical Affairs Oncology at Aventis (formerly Rhone Poulenc – Rorer) from 1999 to 2001. She headed the department of Clinical Research Europe/Asia for Rhone Poulenc – Rorer Gencell from 1997 to 1999, and obtained her first position as Medical Director at Chugaï Rhône Poulenc in 1995. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1989, working for three years as clinical researcher and practicing oncologist at Laboratoires Roger Bellon and Laboratoires Pierre Fabre Oncologie. Nadia received an M.D from the Hôpital Maillot in Algeria where she did her residency in Internal Medicine while she was teaching assistant within this same department. She completed an internship in Oncology at the Institut Gustave Roussy in France, and has headed the Chemotherapy Unit at the Centre Pierre et Marie Curie in Algeria.
