Biography
Professor of Plant Biochemistry at the ZMBP, Center for Plant Molecular Biology, University of Tübingen, Germany. His research aims at a deeper molecular understanding of microbial pattern recognition in plant immunity. In particular, his research group works on identifying novel microbial patterns and their corresponding plant pattern recognition receptors. It also studies the molecular basis of damageâ€associated immune activation in plants.
