Biography
Role Supporting teaching and research across ecology, specialising in behavioural ecology and entomology. Demonstrating terrestrial and freshwater invertebrate and small mammal identification and sampling techniques, and maintaining an associated reference collection. Using electronic data capture techniques for studying animal behaviour and movement, including AviSoft, Observer, EthoVision and the TrackSphere Locomotion Compensator. Supporting field research, particularly invertebrate and small mammal sampling and canopy ecology research. Promoting community outreach, engaging schools and the public in science-based activities individually and in collaboration with Plymouth City Museum. Developing and maintaining LabPlus resources: currently an updated lichen reference collection and a canopy invertebrate diversity resource.
