Biography
Role Head of Research Gateway (Advisory), Research & Innovation The Research Gateway (Advisory) Team was formed following the Professional Services Review 2011/12 to provide a 'no wrong door' approach, enabling staff to capitalise on Plymouth's knowledge base for both academic and commercial benefits. The Team comprises of: R&I Business Partners Work with the Faculties and Schools' senior managers to establish and agree development priorities and work with them to progress them and ensure that the support received from R&I is aligned to their research funding and commercial income generation objectives. Specialist Advisors The Advisors support the University's academic community in securing research and commercial funding. They work across the institution with groups and individuals, and interface with key external organisations (including Research Councils, Government Departments and Government Agencies, Charitable Foundations and Trusts, and the European Commission) to assist in the identification of relevant opportunities and the development of proposals and funding applications.
