Manel Peiró Posadas

Biography

Manel Peiró has developed his professional career mainly in the field of academia, but has also occupied managerial positions in public and private health institutions. He is advisor to public and private health institutions and in the area of public services. He has worked as consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (I.A.D.B.) in Washington and has collaborated with various consultancy companies specialising in the health sector. He is author of several publications and has participated as speaker at various congresses and national and international meetings. He is a member of the Scientific Subcommittee of the European Association of Hospital Managers and of the Scientific Committee of the Top-20 Hospitals Conference. For six years he served as Vice-President of the Economic Commission of the Red Cross in Catalonia. He is currently Director of the Health Care Management Programme in Barcelona and Madrid, and coordinates ESADE's activities in the health sector. He has been Associate Professor in the Department of Human Resource Management at ESADE since 1989.
