Biography
Professional Experience: Her professional experience has been developed in Neuropsychopharmacology Research. Specifically he has focused his research in the area of ​​basic research in depression and pain. During his doctoral thesis he has studied the role of 5-HT1A serotoninergic receptors on the antidepressant and analgesic effect of atypical antidepressant and opioid drugs. The techniques that fundamentally handles are the behavioral models of depression, anxiety and pain; as well as techniques of extracellular electrophysiology and patch-clamp. Training: Currently postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Cambridge thanks to a Marie Curie (Intra-European Fellowship for Career Development) scholarship since 2008. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Seville in 2000. He is a Doctor, named European Doctor, by the University of Cadiz (2007), and he was also awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. His predoctoral phase was carried out in the Research Group CTS-510 (Research and Development in Neuropsychopharmacology of the Junta de Andalucia) under the direction of Prof. Juan Antonio Mico Segura. In addition, during his predoctoral period he has been awarded a MEC (FPU) scholarship and a research grant from the University of Cadiz and has conducted several research stays in other laboratories (Prof. L Ugedo (Bilbao), Prof. M.
