Biography
Francesc Artigas is Professor of Research at the CSIC and Director of the Department of Neurochemistry and Neuropharmacology at IIBB-CSIC, which is part of IDIBAPS, and has been research coordinator in Neurosciences. He has a wide trajectory in translational neuroscience, with clinical collaborations that go back more than 20 years. The group he leads is an international benchmark in Neuropsychopharmacology, with wide incidence in depression and schizophrenia. He has served on the executive committees of the ECNP and CINP and is also a member of the ACNP. He has been President of the Spanish Neuroscience Society and promoter / organizer of the Cajal Winter Conferences. ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES - Organizer and professor of postgraduate courses at the University of Barcelona and Autonomous University of Barcelona - Director of 22 Doctoral Theses, 8 of them awarded with the Special Prize. - Member of ~ 60 doctoral theses in various Spanish and European Universities and Research Centers - Tutor of 22 postdoctoral fellows
