Biography
José Andrés Gómez del Barrio is an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Cantabria. Doctor in medicine. He specialized in Psychiatry at the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla, where he currently works coordinating the Eating Disorders Unit of the Psychiatry Service. He is treasurer of the Spanish Association for the Study of eating disorder (AEETCA) and member of the American Academy for Eating Disorder (AED). He is currently working on several research projects funded in the field of eating disorders. Lines ranging from primary prevention, to the study of neuropsychological bias, through the study and monitoring of the first episodes of an eating disorder and development of therapeutic strategies based on new technologies.
