Biography
It develops assistance, teaching and research activity mainly in the field of bipolar affective disorder. He is active in the psychiatry department of the university hospital of Bellvitge as a specialist and a teaching tutor accredited by means of a call in the DOGC. He also teaches as an associate professor in the department of clinical sciences at the University of Barcelona. It conducts basic research on the neurochemical aspects of the body or, (especially markers of the serotonergic system) and on the genetic basis of the same. It has special interest in the clinical characterization of the bipolar spectrum depressive charts and in the diagnoses of comorbid entities with high prevalence in this population as well as in certain evolutionary and predictive aspects.
