Biography
Miquel Bioque Alcázar is a specialist doctor in Psychiatry, Master in Clinical Research and Doctor in Medicine from the University of Barcelona. He develops his clinical and research activity in the Center of Biomedical Research in Mental Health Network in the Schizophrenia Unit of the Institute of Neurosciences of Hospital ClÃnic of Barcelona. His main line of research is currently focused on the study of inflammatory, immune and endocannabinoid system alterations in the early stages of psychotic disorders. He also works on projects focusing on the clinical characteristics and gene-environment interactions of the first and second psychotic episodes as well as pharmacogenetics and clinical trials.
