Biography

Psychiatrist. Doctoral Degree in Neuroscience (DEA) 2003. Adjunct psychiatrist of the hospital and children's hospital in Sant Joan de Deu Hospital. Coordinator of the Psychosis Unit. Collaborating researcher at Sant Joan de Deu-Serveis de Salut Mental since 2001 During my specialization as a psychiatrist, I am already interested in research in the area of ​​neurodevelopmental hypothesis of schizophrenia and make a 4-month stay with Prof. Robin Murray in the Dep. Psychological Medice, Institute of Psychiatry (London). Later I participated in several research projects, coordinating a study funded by Fundacio Marato of TV3 in which the needs, neurodevelopment and cognitive functioning of outpatients diagnosed with schizophrenia and participating in a study of emotion expressed in schizophrenic families. Currently, my interest in schizophrenia is focused on abnormal neurodevelopmental markers in early onset psychotic episodes and in high risk states for psychosis. At the moment I participate as responsible researcher of the child-youth cohort of a study that pretends to analyze the gender differences in people with a first psychotic episode.
