Madlyn Murrey

Biography

 As senior vice president and chief nursing officer, Madlyn Murrey’s role at Seattle Children’s is twofold. In addition to partnering with other Seattle Children’s executives on setting the strategic direction of the organization, she also partners with nursing leadership to shape the nursing experience in a way that puts the right people in the right job with the right resources, so they can do their best work every day.  Being hired as Seattle’s Children’s chief nursing officer in 2015 was a bit of homecoming for Murrey. Her first experiences as a nurse were here, and between then and now she has traveled along the West Coast, holding positions with increasing executive responsibility at Mary Bridge in Tacoma, Wash., and Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore.
