Biography
She is Professor, Department of Agricultural Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Madrid and previously at Columbia University in New York, USA. Her research focuses on the relationships between global change, agriculture, and water resources with special emphasis on the economic impacts, vulnerability and adaptation policies. She currently leads several projects of the European Commission and works with the United Nations and the World Bank. Her work has appeared in more than 100 scientific articles and is author of the publications of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 1995.
