Research Interest
ystematics and evolution, speciation events, and biogeography. In my systematic work I am integrating traditional methods (morphology, anatomy and chemical studies) with modern molecular tools for the realization of phylogenetic studies. Infer processes of past diversification, based on phylogeny of species. Evolution of ancestral characters. Metagenomic and population genomics. Biodiversity, ecology and pollution biomonitoring studies.
