Dr. Guillermo Amo de Paz Professional Address: Department of Plant Biology II. Pharmacy faculty. Complutense University of Madrid. 28040 Madrid (Spain).My research interest includes many fields of the biology of the lichen-forming fungi: from the evolutionary history of these fungi to the current diversity and ecological relationships. Also its potential use as bioindicators and source of active substances.

Speciation and cryptic species. DNA bardcoding. * Identification, isolation and biological activity of lichen substances. * Evolutionary biology. Evolution of the phenotypic characters and adaptation to the environmental factors. Dating of phylogentic trees and phylogeography.
