Biography
Felipe Oyarzún Ampuero was titled as a Pharmaceutical Chemist (2004) at the Universidad Austral de Chile (Valdivia). He obtained a "Diploma in Advanced Studies" (2007) and the degree of "Doctor in Research and Development of Medications" (2011) at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Subsequently, he developed postdoctoral studies (2011-2013) at the Polymers Laboratory of the Universidad Austral de Chile. For the accomplishment of these studies it has counted on scholarships of the MINEDUC (undergraduate) and CONICYT (postgrado). His main lines of research are: Encapsulation of active molecules in nano and microsystems mediated by non-covalent interactions. Study of chemical interactions for the formation of nano and microsystems. Development of new materials for the pharmaceutical and food industry. In 2013 he entered the University of Chile as an academic with a project "Insertion of Advanced Human Capital in the Academy". He is currently an adjunct professor in the Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Department and teaches pre and postgraduate courses (Master's and Doctorate). Felipe Oyarzún has directed / is directing 6 theses of undergraduate and 2 of master. Dr. Oyarzún has 13 ISI publications (160 citations, h = 6), 1 non-ISI publication, 3 book chapters, various industrial property objects (1 patent and 2 trade marks granted, and 3 patent applications) 51 papers in national and international scientific congresses (18 oral and 33 posters). He has directed 3 research projects and participated as a co - investigator in 7 others. Among his administrative activities at the University of Chile, he is a member of the Research Department of the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and is a Director of the Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Department.
