Biography
Forestry Engineer of the University of Chile (1998); Post title in Applied Cartography, UTEM (2002); Master in Geography, Universidad de Chile (2006); Doctor in Natural Resources University of Córdoba-Spain (2013). He has been a Professor and Researcher at the Forest Fire Laboratory of the Faculty of Forestry and Nature Conservation at the University of Chile since 1999. Author of national and international publications related to the design and implementation of computer tools for the management in fire management, modeling phenomena related to fire behavior, damage and quantification of economic and territorial effects caused by forest fires. He has taught undergraduate (Geographical Information Systems, Fire Management, Land Management), Postgraduate (specialization courses in GIS and Remote Sensing), as well as professional counseling and specialization courses in fire protection and defense for national and international companies. He is currently researcher at the Forest Fire Laboratory of the University of Chile.
