Biography
Ana María Luque Gil has been a PhD in geography by the University of Málaga since 2003, following the reading of her doctoral thesis in 2003 entitled "Recreational-sports activities and tourism use of rural space", with which obtained the Extraordinary Prize of Doctorate of the University of Malaga and two prizes of the Andalusian Institute of the Sport of the Meeting of Andalusia to the best doctoral thesis Andalusian in the area of ​​Social Sciences and Sport and the best doctoral thesis in sports matter in Andalusia in the year 2003. Since the end of the nineties he has been carrying out a series of works in the framework of multidisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams (social sciences, economics, physical activity and sports sciences, environmental sciences)in close collaboration with several national and foreign universities in various complementary lines of research that are synthesized in: - Territorial implications of sports practice. In the framework of the Geography of Sports, the work carried out has provided an important contribution from Spain to an innovative and current line of work in geographic research, developed in other regions (Great Britain, France, Switzerland, USA, Brazil) but of little diffusion to this day in our country.
