Biography
Antonio J Jiménez holds a degree and a PhD in Biological Sciences (1993) from the University of Málaga. He has been Professor of Cell Biology since 1996. His predoctoral research (1988-1993) focused on the study of two encephalic glands, the pineal organ and the subcommissural organ. He undertook a post-doctoral stay at the University of Oviedo (1993-94) The direction of Dr. José Manuel García Fernández, carrying out studies on retinal degeneration processes.
Research Interest
Etiology of congenital hydrocephalus and the search for therapies for its treatment.
