Biography
Fernando Almeida García is professor of the Department of Geography of the University from Malaga. He has been a doctor since 2000 with the thesis "Analysis and proposals on land-use planning for the Eastern Sun Coast ". Previously he was professor of University of the Balearic Islands. He teaches in the degrees of Tourism and Studies East Asia, as well as the Master in Tourism Management and Planning (Fac. Tourism). He has worked professionally in various administrations, in the field (Tourism Area of ​​Melilla, Tourism Company of Santiago de Compostela) and urban development (Ayuntamiento de Málaga). His research is geared towards land management, urban planning and tourism, in especially tourism destination management and tourism policy and governance. In the last has developed various projects related to virtual teaching.
