Biography

He is a faculty member of the University in the area of ​​knowledge of Crystallography and Mineralogy in the UMA since 2000. He obtained the Bachelor of Chemical Sciences in 1996 at the University of Málaga and the Doctorate in Chemical Sciences in 2000 at the University of Malaga. His research activity has been directed towards the study of clay minerals, focusing mainly on the minerals of the kaolinite group, the group of the smectites and sepiolites, in the production of novel materials using as Clay minerals and the development of applications of these minerals. Materials in the purification of contaminated water. Among their positions, they stand out as Deputy Secretary of the Faculty of Sciences and Secretary of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Crystallography and Mineralogy. He has also been a member of the Center Board of the Faculty of Sciences and is currently a member of the faculty of the University of Málaga. Has been also a member of the Self-Assessment Committee for the title of "Bachelor of Science Environmental ", member of the writing committee of the title of Degree in Sciences Environmental and Secretary of the Commission for the Recruitment of Faculty Aides of Sciences of the University of Malaga. Since 2008 he has been Professor of Crystallography and Mineralogy and is currently Principal Investigator of the Project financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and is carried out in cooperation with the Municipal Company of Water of Malaga denominated "Potabilization of Waters through Pilateadas Clays, Validation and Optimization of Projects ".
