Biography
Graduated in Pharmacy (Health Orientation) in 1991 and the doctorate Pharmacy in the year 1996 (Prize Extraordinary), both in the same Faculty of the University of Navarra. He is also a Clinical Analysis Specialist ( FIR) since 1995. From 1996 to 1998 he later worked as Researcher Doctor Collaborator of the Department of Human Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, where I work in the line of hepatic cirrhosis and IGF. Later and from 1999 to 2002 he made his postdoctoral stay at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the Department of Biomedical Sciences collaborating with several research groups specialized in mitochondrial research and oxidative stress in different pathologies such as HIV and Elastic Pseudoxanthoma. During these years made several collaborations and visits to the Department of Human Physiology of the University of Málaga where he studied oxidative stress in aging and IGF. In 2003 he joined the Department of Physiology first with a Assistant, later in the 2007 of Contracted Doctor and already in November of 2009 as Full Professor of this area. His current teaching takes place in the Faculties of Health Sciences, Engineering Informatics and Faculty of Medicine as well as in the Doctoral Program, "Neurosciences and their clinical applications". It also participates in a program of PhD from other universities (CEU-Madrid, Univ. Modena-Italy).
