Biography
Professor of the University of the Department of Psychobiology and Methodology of Behavioral Sciences of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Málaga. She has been Director of the said department between 2000 and 2007, Director of Secretariat of Teachers between 2007 and 2012 and Vice-rector of Academic Planning and Teaching staff of the same University since February 2012. The research activity has focused mainly on aspects related to the research methodology and experimental designs (statistical analysis associated to the designs of repeated measures and study of the behavior of statistics through Monte Carlo simulation) and with the methodological applications in different areas collaborating with research groups from different areas of the branches of Sciences Social, Health Sciences and Engineering and Architecture. In these methodological applications, the research related to the processing of visual information and the social and applied character related to psychological and psychosocial variables associated with the donation of organs and tissues for transplantation stand out as their own research lines. This last line has been developed in collaboration with the Coordination of Transplants of Malaga, the Autonomous Coordination of Transplants of the Junta de Andalucía and the National Organization of Transplants. The research trajectory has been subsidized since its inception by different research projects obtained in competitive calls, exerting of principal investigator in three of them. Among other merits derived from the results and dissemination of research, 80 scientific articles published in indexed journals, or where appropriate, with recognized quality indicators, more than 100 contributions to national and international scientific congresses, eight doctoral dissertations and two patents of invention stand out. This research activity has been favorably evaluated with the granting of three six-year research.
