Biography

He has published more than 250 articles, 110 of which correspond to peer-reviewed articles published in journals or monographs indexed internationally such as: Systematic Biology (Impact Factor 12,169), Global Ecology and Biogeography (IF 7,223), Global Change Biology (IF 6, 847), Diversity and Distributions (IF 6,122), Scientific Reports (IF 5,578), Journal of Biogeography (IF 4,863), Ecography (IF 4,774), Mammal Review (4,256), Conservation Biology (IF 4,165) or PLoS ONE 4.092). He has also participated as a principal investigator in 4 projects of the National Plan, an Excellence project of the Junta de Andalucía and in a project of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID). He has participated as a researcher in 5 projects of the National Plan, 2 of the AECID, One from the Community of Murcia and one from the National Agency of Research and Innovation (ANII) of Uruguay. He has also been the principal investigator in two collaborative agreements and has participated in a third party. He has also been the principal investigator of an I + D + I contract with the Public Works Agency of the Government of Andalusia, another financed by USAid and another financed by UKAid.
