Alejandro Oyono Ondo MÉndez

Biography

 Biologist from the National University of Colombia. Doctor in Sciences-Chemistry, emphasis in Biochemistry, National University of Colombia. PhD in Life Sciences and Health, with emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Biology, University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis, Nice, France. It has an equivalence of the French DEA ​​diploma in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis, Nice, France.  He has been a researcher at the TIRO Unit (Conveyors in Imaging and Oncology Radiotherapy) of the Atomic Energy Commissariat and the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Nice, and of the Membrane Biophysics and Biology Group of the International Center of Physics and the National University of Colombia, conducting research on the molecular mechanisms involved in iodine transport in mammals. He has experience in the management of techniques of cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry and electrophysiology, and basic knowledge in radiobiology. Additionally, he has been a professor of Biochemistry for the Departments of Biology and Pharmacy of the National University of Colombia. He has published the results of his scientific works in national and international indexed journals. He is currently teaching at the Biochemistry Unit of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (FCNM). Likewise, as a researcher in the Bio-Bio group of the FCNM, he develops research projects in radiobiology, studying the cellular mechanisms of response to radiotherapy treatments, within the framework of the research line in Biochemical and Molecular Mechanisms of cellular response to Stress of the group.
