Juan Carlos Guerrero Bernal

Biography

Doctor in Sociology from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, Magister in Political Studies at the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) in Paris and Magister Analysis of Political Problems , Contemporary Economic and International Studies Institute of Higher Studies for Development (IAED).   His thesis work focused on the vectors of training of international audiences that have mobilized against the consequences and harmful effects of the Colombian armed conflict. His academic work has focused on issues related to transnational political activism, democracy and local collective action in scenarios of armed conflict and postconflict and the configuration of public problems nationally and internationally. His research has been carried out with an interdisciplinary approach, especially looking for points of intersection between International Relations, Political Science and Sociology. He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Political Science, Government and International Relations of the University of Rosario (Colombia) and researcher of the Center for Political and International Studies (CEPI) of the same university. He is also part of the JANUS Group for Interdisciplinary Studies on Peace, Conflict and Postconflict at the Universidad del Rosario. Before working at the University of Rosario, he was a professor at the Institute for Higher Studies for Latin America (IHEAL) at the University of Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle, at the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) in Paris and at the Universidad Externado de Colombia . He has also been a visiting professor at the School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris and at Lumière Lyon II University. Conflict and Postconflict of the University of the Rosary. Before working at the University of Rosario, he was a professor at the Institute for Higher Studies for Latin America (IHEAL) at the University of Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle, at the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) in Paris and at the Universidad Externado de Colombia . He has also been a visiting professor at the School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris and at Lumière Lyon II University. Conflict and Postconflict of the University of the Rosary. Before working at the University of Rosario, he was a professor at the Institute for Higher Studies for Latin America (IHEAL) at the University of Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle, at the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) in Paris and at the Universidad Externado de Colombia . He has also been a visiting professor at the School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris and at Lumière Lyon II University.
