Vicente Torrijos Rivera

Biography

Political analyst and journalist specializing in Public Opinion. Postgraduate in International Studies by the International Studies Society of Madrid. Master's Degree in Political Studies from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Professor Emeritus, Distinguished Professor, Professor of Academic Excellence and Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Rosario, has been a presidential commissioner for crisis management with Venezuela and a member of the National Council for Quality Assurance Higher Education (Room of Social Sciences and Humanities). He is currently an academic partner of the National Academic Accreditation Council; representative in Colombia of the Global Network of Peace and Development 'Transcend'; columnist of the newspaper El Nuevo Siglo and collaborator of different media. He is also an international consultant for the National System of Accreditation of Higher Education of the Republic of Costa Rica; consultant for the Real Instituto Elcano de Estudios Internacionales y Estratégicos, Madrid; founder and former president of the Colombian Chapter of Graduates of the National Defense University of the United States; consultant to the General Command of the Military Forces and has been a member of the Historical Commission of the Conflict and its Victims installed by the Negotiating Table between the National Government and the FARC in Havana in August 2014. He has also been awarded the Medal of Honor of the Superior School of War, the Medal of Distinguished Services to the Military Forces, and the Medal of the Congress of the Republic.
