Biography

Aspiring doctorate University of Rosario-Karolinska Institute.Magister in Biological Sciences, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Biologist, Universidad del Valle. Degree in Biology and Chemistry, Universidad Santiago de Cali. Internship at Plant Breeding International, Cambridge, in a collaborative work with cenipalma. Experience in research of biochemical and molecular markers in plant breeding and subsequent application of the same techniques in medicine, particularly in the molecular diagnosis of duchene and mitochondrial diseases. Teaching experience in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology for students of basic sciences and medicine in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She has worked as a researcher and teacher in cenipalma, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and linked since 2005 to the University of Rosario where she is also part of the Research group of Basic Medical Sciences. As academic pair has been jury evaluator of thesis of undergraduate and graduate. The results of the research have been presented at national and international events and published in indexed journals.
