Biography

As a professor at the University of Barcelona, ​​since 2002 he has taught several subjects of the Degree in History, the Degree in History, the Higher Degree in Archeology and the Master in Archeology. He was also a consultant professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya between 2003 and 2005. Interested in everything that has to do with the Protohistory of the central and western Mediterranean, and especially in the processes of social, political and economic change experienced by the societies of these territories throughout this period. Since 1997, he has directed numerous archaeological excavation campaigns in several sites of the early iron age (Sant Jaume d'Alcanar, Ferradura d'Ulldecona), Iberian (Moleta del Remei d'Alcanar, Coll del Moro de Gandesa ) and Romans (Vil·la de la Carrova de Amposta). So far he has published more than fifty scientific articles, as well as various articles of general dissemination and monographs. Apart from its participation and coordination of the research projects financed by the GRAP, it has also directed, as an IP, several ACOM research projects from the Generalitat de Catalunya. In order to maintain a continuous training process, to improve the quality of the research developed and to establish links with researchers and teams from all over the world, it has carried out research stays at the University of Bristol (England) and at the University Nacional de Chimborazo (Riobamba, Ecuador). He has also collaborated professionally with institutions such as the Archeology Museum of Catalonia or the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
