Biography
Ignasi Soriano Tomàs is a Professorfrom Department of Botany at University of Barcelona. His topic of interest is Taxonomy and corology of vascular plants. Historical Herbaris. Study of plant communities and vegetal landscape.
Research Interest
Taxonomic, biosystemic and corological studies of vascular plants (mainly genera of Orobanchaceae and Anthemideae ). Studies of the historical collections of herbaris BC (Botanic Institute of Barcelona) and BCN (University of Barcelona). Study of plant biodiversity at a regional level and at different levels (flora, communities, vegetal landscape), mainly in the Pyrenees area and the west of the Mediterranean region.
