Biography
Jorge Eduardo Cañas López (Colombia, 1968) holds Diploma in Advanced Studies DEA at Dorarat in Urban Planning and Territorial Planning of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and is currently a candidate for the Degree in Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology from the University of Barcelona. Since 2008, he has participated in different research groups of the University of Barcelona as the Laboratory of Social Habitat, Participation and Gender and the Visual Sociology Research Group. He also has experience in social mediation (community mediation) and in socio-cultural dynamism at the Art-Mirall Creation Laboratory - Barcelona, for which he carried out in 2012 a social vulnerability project with three documentaries about the Besòs district and the Maresme de Barcelona.
