Biography
Marc Talavera Roma is a Predoctoral student from Department of Botany at University of Barcelona. His topic of interest is Ecology of plant communities
Research Interest
My research is part of plant ecology, with the parallel objective of opening up research to society. I am particularly interested in the processes of colonization of open spaces by pioneer tree species, both in subalpine ( Pinus uncinata ) and in the Mediterranean areas ( Pinus halepensis ), focusing on the study of reproduction , dissemination and establishment as key stages of the reforestation process. At the same time, I believe that we must promote a new way of doing research that allows the participation of social agents, thus promoting scientific transfer, environmental awareness and the creation of synergies between the scientific community and society.
