Research Interest
Function of the antioxidants, tocopherols (vitamin E), ascorbic acid (vitamin C), carotenoids, flavonoids and phenolic diterpenes in plants. Mechanisms of resistance to water and oxidative stresses. Mechanisms underlying aging in plants. Relationship between water deficit, oxidative stress and leaf senescence in plants.
