Biography
Susan Mery Medina Canzio is a PhD student from Department of Plant Physiology at University of Barcelona. Her topic of interest is Crop physiology, transpiration and molecular mechanisms of cereals such as wheat and pearl millet under diverse environments of adaptation.
Research Interest
Wheat and Pearl millet are the most important cereals in the Mediterranean and Semi – arid environment; their adaptation to drought among the decades and different zones is determined by the genotypic and the environmental component. The study of their physiological response under diverse water conditions together with its transcriptomic profile may enhance the understanding of their growth mechanisms, in order to face future environmental changes on temperature and water limitation.
