Biography
Born in Cordobilla de Lácara, Badajoz, in 1959. Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biomedical Sciences. He obtained the Title of Medical Specialist in Microbiology and Clinical Parasitology. He has been linked to teaching in Medicine since 1985 in the Faculty of Medicine of the UEx within the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Recently, in 2012, he has obtained the National Accreditation Certificate for the body of professors from the University of Health Sciences.
Research Interest
The research activity has gone in parallel to the teaching activity, participating as a Principal Investigator in several research projects subsidized by the Ministry of Research and Science or the Junta de Extremadura. To highlight the membership of the Center for Biomedical Research in Network in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-bbn). As a result of all this research work, he has participated in the development of several book chapters and is the author of more than 70 articles in specialized journals, most of which are published in indexed journals and included in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) .
