Biography
I am a chemical engineer from the Chemical Institute of Sarrià (Barcelona) and a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Würzburg (Germany). In addition, I have taken a four year postdoctoral stay at King's College London (England). I joined the UdG in 2002 in the Ramón y Cajal program, and I am an associate professor since 2007, in the area of Physical Chemistry. I am the director of the Institute of Computational Chemistry.
Research Interest
My research is aimed at simulation of chemical processes in the excited state, with two areas of interest: photochemistry and photophysics of molecules of biological interest, and the optical control of these processes.
