Biography
Jeff Nevers is an Affiliated Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of New England and teaches Physical Therapy Administration, which focuses on the business and strategic concepts central to the field. He serves as a strategic and communication faculty advisor for UNE entrants into the Clarion Case competition, an annual national interprofessional healthcare presentation contest. Jeff’s primary position is Career Services Coordinator on UNE’s Portland Campus. Jeff focuses on communication coaching, strategic planning, positioning, writing, personal branding, intervewing, employer relations, job search strategy and salary negotiation concepts, among others.
Research Interest
Along with his career counseling endeavors, Jeff also consults with business and industry on intergenerational workplaces issues, workforce development and workplace trends. Jeff’s perspective on these issues has resulted in media appearances with NerdWallet.com, Maine Public Radio, the Portland Press Herald and other outlets. He is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Association and the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine. Jeff also presents at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute.
