Biography
Matt Somma, PT, DPT, MTC, CSCS, is a licensed physical therapist with a clinical doctoral degree in physical therapy, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He attended the University of New England for his undergraduate and graduate studies. He has been an adjunct faculty member with UNE since 2017. Matthew is currently serving a two year term as president for the Maine Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. He currently also works at OA Centers for Orthopaedics where he is the Senior Physical Therapist Manager. He has been with OA since 2010. His clinical interests include surgical and non-surgical treatment of patients with spinal dysfunction. Matthew is also interested in biomechanical analysis of the overhead athlete, rehabilitation of the shoulder, and rehabilitation of low back dysfunction.
