Biography
Nichol Shea is the Department of Physical Therapy’s Clinical Placement Coordinator and provides direct support to the Director of Clinical Education (DCE) and Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE). She has been with the University of New England for over 15 years and joined the Department of Physical Therapy in the spring of 2008 after serving in the University’s Office of the Registrar for over 8 years. Her primary role is to work closely with students’ throughout their clinical practica experiences to ensure compliance with all university, program and clinical site rotation requirements and the timely completion and submission of all relevant documentation, as well as assist students in their communication with clinical education faculty. Nichol also maintains the Department’s clinical database with over 400 clinical sites across the United States and works collaboratively with the other health professions programs within the University and the University’s Clinical Contract Administration office. In addition to her support of the clinical education program, she also provides assistance with other aspects of the program’s daily operating functions, including compiling and synthesizing data for various departmental and university reports
