Biography
Miguel Lopez Lazaro is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Seville, Spain. Graduated in Pharmacy, he received a PhD in the Department of Pharmacology and completed a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biosciences at the Medical School of the University of Newcastle, UK. In 1999, he became Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Seville, where he currently holds a tenured position. His current areas of interest/expertise include several aspects of cancer biology and pharmacology (anticancer agents from natural origin, topoisomerase-mediated DNA damage, cancer metabolism, and role of oxidative stress in carcinogenesis and cancer therapy).
