Biography
Javier was born in Ponferrada (Leon) in 1977. He received the Licenciado en FÃsica degree and PhD at the University of Salamanca in 1999 and 2005, respectively. His professional affiliations have included the University of Salamanca as Profesor Ayudante. He joined the University of Valencia in 2006 as a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the Theoretical physics department. In 2009 he moved to the Atomic, Molecular, and Nuclear physics department to occupy a Profesor Ayudante doctor position, becoming promoted to professor in the same department in 2011. He has developed his research in the area of Hadronic Physics (Few-body states, hadron spectra, exotic states). Nowadays, his research interest includes the area of Medical Physics, mainly those aspects related with Monte Carlo simulations.
