Biography
Manuel Lopez-Torrijo holds a bachelor's degree and a doctorate in Educational Sciences from the University of Valencia where he works as Professor of Theory and History of Education. His first professional career has focused on the History of Education in which he has published several books (Education and society in Valencia illustrated, Reading of historical-educational methodology, Education in the popular mind), as well as several chapters , articles and communications. His recent work deals with the study of special education from a political, comparative and historical perspective, with special attention to educational integration and, in particular, to hearing impairment. To this second line belong: Educational integration: analysis of legislative development. Texts for a history of special education o Educational and social integration. He has extensive and deep experience in the associative movement of people with disabilities in which he has participated, both nationally and internationally.
