Biography
Begoña Gutiérrez Nieto is a professor of Finance at the University of Zaragoza. She is also an Associate Researcher at the Center for European Research in Microfinance at the Free University of Brussels. His thesis on microfinance in Spain received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award, the ESIC-CAI Research Award 2004 and the Research Award in Social Sciences La Caixa 2004. His work on efficiency research in microfinance entities received the Best Research Award on International Cooperation for Human Development 2009 of the conference of rectors of Madrid's universities.
